Trina Marie "Black" Flowers

Born:  April 2, 1963

Crossed Over:  July 25, 2002

My family and I attended the service for Trina in Elko, Nv on Friday, August 2, 2002.  While waiting for the service to begin,  I wished to write a short poem of remembrance.  But all that really came to mind was "I wonder".  Maybe a poem will come with time.

I Wonder

When I hear she was so young ...

I wonder was 39 years enough time?

Enough time to do all the important things.

To be born, to grow, to love, to marry,

 have children of your own,

to see your children grow.

I wonder, but I do not know.

Was there enough time to feel life,

experience the sorrow of the death of

one you dearly love, to hold a firm belief

in God above, to feel joy,

to hold a new born baby in your arms.

I suppose, but I do not know.

I wonder was 39 years enough time for those who knew, loved and cared for Trina.  No, selfishly, I just don't think so.  Just not quite enough time.
