Seek The Simple Pleasures

In a world as complex as ours

I find myself in awe.

All of the frustrations that abound.

But there is some solace -  have found.

Seek the simple pleasures.

Watching for falling stars.

Smelling roses in the morning dew.

Watching life begin anew.

Tonight while I was coming home

Focused only on the torments of life.

I looked up - and what did I see

Venus, twinkling back at me.

It gave me a different course

Eased my mind a bit.

A smile came to my face.

Put my troubles in their place..
