For someone not from Elko,

it may have seemed a bit surreal.

To have so many business owners

at the service, of their achilles' heel.

We knew her during the good times.

We knew her through the bad.

She was our friend in both.

Losing her was very sad.

She treated us as her neighbor.

She understood when times were tough.

She knew both the business and its people.

For her, just a number, was not enough.

We will miss you Paula.

You did your job, it's true.

But, you treated us with respect.

Sadly, we're here now - to pay ours to you.
