There is a place

That I have seen

Whose beauty is beyond compare

An earthly delight – without a care

Crystal clear waters

Sandy white beaches

Jungle palms beyond the shore

A heavenly spot, which I adore

Tree covered mountains

Gulls drifting on thermals

Simple thatched huts

And in the trees - coconuts

Small white fishing boats

Bouncing along the gentle waves

Native girls prancing along the shore

Who could wish for anything more?

Alas, I have never had the fortune

To visit such a ponderous place

But each night, I sigh and dream

Of this paradise … on Mountaineer's computer screen

Mountaineer cottage is at the Nevada Youth Training Center for boys in Elko, Nevada.  The computer at the cottage has a tropical photograph on the screen (wallpaper).  The native girls are poetic license, they were only in my mind ... sigh.
