Elko
- Humboldt Hot Springs, Nevada
along
Humboldt River just north of 'Hot Hole'
Elko County, Nevada
Just
north of the "Hot Hole"
along the Humboldt river are three hot springs. I never knew they were there until recently. They are really incredible and really
hot! Together with the hot hole these hot springs are of Yellowstone
Park quality - albeit on a much smaller scale. They should really be
preserved as a tourist attraction. Here are the photos.

hot spring along the south bank of the Humboldt River. The
spring has a noticeable sulfur smell and I would assume the brown
staining is iron oxide. |

white layered rocks in the foreground are hot spring deposits. |

| About
200 feet east of the above hot spring is this smaller hot spring. |
