Deeth
to Charleston to North Fork
Elko County, Nevada
On
the last day of June, 2002, my dad Barney, my son Harry, and I took a 'Sunday drive'
from Elko to Deeth to Charleston to North Fork and back to Elko. It was
a wonderful trip. The wildflowers were spectacular and the scenery
was magnificent. This page focuses on the road from Deeth to Charleston
to North Fork. For now enjoy the scenery - click on the blue headings to
obtain the location on a topographic map. As I have some more time
I will add to the history. If you wish to help ...
just
let me know.

Building - School? on Owyhee River
Addendum (August 24, 2002):
I spoke to Gary Prunty, Marge's son, today he said this building was a
portion of an old school house. It was originally on the paved
road between North Fork and Wild Horse Reservoir. The building
was sold to the Goicochea ranch and moved to this location to be used
as a ranch building. Gary said he went to school in this
building and Marge had taught grades 1 - 8 in it.
